Whole numbers can be applied in real life in the following ways:
  1. With whole numbers, we can count the quantity of an object in real life. (Ming Yang)
  2. With whole numbers, we can count how much we are suppose to pay. (Nathaniel)
  3. In engineering and/or physics numbers are used to represent physical quantity as normally we would calculate distance from one point to another. (Ragul)

We can apply fractions in real life in the following ways:
    1. A fraction is a quote “a broken number” that symbolises parts of a whole. (ragul)
    2. Measuring distances in my house and pieces of wood when building stuff. If the measurement isn't correct, then I'll have some crooked looking furniture. (Ming Yang)
    3. We use fractions to split up things like pizza into a few equal pieces for people to share. (Ragul/Ming Yang)
    4. When we cook ,we use fractions e.g. 1/2 teaspoon ,1/2 tablespoon and etc. (ragul)
    5. We can use fraction in real life. An example is like if your mother buys you a chocolate and asks you to share with your siblingequally, you’ll have to spilt it up into a few equal pieces.(Ming Yang and Nathaniel)
